Fort Lauderdale: How To Throw A Beach Bachelorette

Fast forward two years after my NYC bachelorette weekend, and it was time for me to plan my sister’s big celebration. The pressure was on to make it amazing, but lucky for me, my sister is the chillest bride ever. She picked the date and destination, and I got to work on the rest. Her pick? Fort Lauderdale. (Cue my happy dance because this was my chance to live out my beach bachelorette dreams—wink wink.)

The timing worked out perfectly. We planned the trip for March, and I was due with my son in October, so I got to tackle the big-ticket items—like booking the Airbnb, boat, and private dining—before baby madness set in. By August, we had locked in the big ticket logistics, leaving the smaller details to fall and winter.

Here’s how it all came together for an unforgettable, stress-free weekend!

We lucked out with the most incredible Airbnb. It was a newer property with only a handful of reviews, which made me a little nervous at first, but I decided to trust my gut (and the “Super Host” badge). It paid off! The house was huge, with plenty of bathrooms and beds for everyone, and the backyard/pool setup was absolute perfection. It set the tone for the entire weekend with ample space for a bigger group.

Got Your Bash: Décor, Welcome Bags, and Fridge Stocking

If you know me, you know I’m all about outsourcing when the situation calls for it—and with two kids under two, I definitely knew I wasn’t going to DIY this bachelorette party. Enter Got Your Bash, the ultimate lifesaver.

I first heard about them while freelancing at a PR firm a few years ago and had been dying to try their services. They helped me with everything: designing a custom logo for the weekend, sourcing and assembling goodie bags, decorating the Airbnb, and even stocking the fridge before we arrived.   We started the day with lunch on the water at Shooters Waterfront. It was the perfect vibe to kick off the weekend: breezy, fun, and delicious.

• Boat Day with BoatSetter
  The highlight of the weekend. We booked a boat and captain through BoatSetter, and it couldn’t have been easier. Highly recommend!

• Madeline’s Last Rendez Veuve Dinner
  For dinner, we went all out with a catered hibachi experience from Live Hibachi Joe. I had never done this before, and it completely lived up to the hype. The food was incredible, the experience was so fun, and we had tons of leftovers for late night snacking.

Saturday: Brunch + Pool Day + Night Out

• Brunch at Dune
  Saturday morning kicked off with brunch at Dune. Right on the beach with a fun, upscale vibe, it was exactly what we needed to refuel and reset.

• Pool Day at the Airbnb
  The afternoon was all about lounging by the pool, sipping drinks, and enjoying the Florida sunshine. With a backyard as dreamy as this one, there was no better way to spend the day.

• Dinner at Timpano Las Olas
  For dinner, we rented a private room at Timpano Las Olas. With a prefixed menu and impeccable service and cocktails, it was another home run. The food was incredible, and the private setting made it feel extra special.

• ‘Til Death Do Us Party
  We ended the night at the Palm Room, where we danced the night away in the heart of Las Olas. 

Final Thoughts

This Fort Lauderdale bachelorette weekend was everything my sister deserved and more. From the perfect Airbnb to the amazing activities and the seamless experience of working with Got Your Bash, it was a celebration to remember.
